I Loaned My weed eater to my neighbors and now it no longer runs. I am curious about the battery powered weed eaters and was wondering if anyone had one or had used one and what you thought about it? I have a larger yard but not much weed trimming , max time would be 15mins

We are a distributor for Milwaukee and the 18V weed eater with a 9ah battery will run 2hrs. My manager tested it on 2 baseball fields inside and outside the fence and still had half a charge.
I bought the blower since I already had Milwaukee drills and impacts, and it is awesome Wow that is impressive. Imagine where that technology will be in 3-5yrs. Lighter, better, cheaper etc.

The kolbalt 40v will go 45 minutes on a full charge. After my last gas burner crapped out I decided I would never deal with a gas weed eater again.
kill em all let God sort em out

I’ll never go back to gas. I bought the Worx brand 40V weed eater/ edger combo and blower and have been using them all summer.

I have a ryhobi and it runs solid for 45 minutes to an hour. I like mine and use it a lot more than I want to but it does a heck of a job and dadgum it I like the string winder on it, I can change out string in less than a minute.

My brother was using one at my mother's this weekend. He paid 100 bucks for it at lowes with a blower. It was pretty impressive.

Only thing about the Kobalt is the bump cap is flimsy. Lowes doesn't have them in stock. I ordered some but it wasn't from Lowes. They need to keep them on the shelf. But it does a good job.

I don't have a battery powered weed eater but I do have some hedge trimmers that are, they work just as good as my plug in trimmers, it takes about an hour to trim all our bushes and they will do that no problem on one charge.

I’ll never go back to gas. I bought the Worx brand 40V weed eater/ edger combo and blower and have been using them all summer. me either; I got a Black & Decker electric weed eater from Wal-Mart, the BrushHog XL (or whatever) & i couldn't be happier; yes, it uses a cord, but i'm only weed eating around my house & i can deal with it WAY better than a freakin' gas motor that won't crank ....

I have a battery powered dewalt. I also have the drills, sawsall, and circular saw. All run off the same batteries. Just got my mother the electric dewalt push mower. The push mower came with two 6ah batteries. You can run the 5ah on it but they get really hot. The mower will get the areas you can't get into with the riding mower but it doesn't last as long as I figured it would. The weed eater seems to last forever on a charge.
