Just curious, do any of you guys take them down during the offseason? If no, do you ever replace them and/or how often? I have been taking them down but been thinking about leaving them in the future

I take them down after every season. Weather would be hard on them. ^this in addition to the potential of squirrels chewing them up.

Yep, I take them down after each season and look them over good for wear & tear/chewing, then look them over again before they go back up. X4

How do you come down safely if you're taking it down? Just risk it? Linemans rope and harness, I usually use the safety line to lower the lock on to the ground.

Does anyone use life lines with Ladder stands? We do. That's why I was asking about taking them down. Not sure how to do that safely. I guess you just have to replace one with a new one.

How do you come down safely if you're taking it down? Just risk it? I use a climbing stand to re-rig my 20 footers and up. The little Walmart 15' I have a friend hold the ladder and I climb up/down.
