Before anybody goes postal on me the suspension was for an older friend of mine who I was with at the time which was total BS never been in trouble his whole life. And We had hunted this place our whole life turkey hunting. Game warden never saw him off the property line and he was honest to were he was which was literally 30 yards off line never shot a turkey or anything that day. He was just honest with the warden. And in most wardens fashion he puts the book to him in court after he admited to I️t and just wanted to pay the ticket and be done instead of argue. So warden asks the judge to suspend his license and does. With that being said my question is can you still hunt your own property with a suspended license or no ?

Was looking and the sentence was your privileges of hunting get taken away. This is what I️ was unsure about . Really makes me angry at the warden for doing so. Understanding that this can be the punishment but this man has never even had a speeding ticket and was totally truthful about what he did.

30 yards or 3 feet. Trespassing is trespassing.

central ala,
They do not suspend license. They suspend hunting privileges. Can't hunt anywhere in Alabama.

central ala,
Here is your answer.

Hunting without permission $1,000 & at discretion of court 1-year revocation
of all hunting privileges (2nd offense $2,000, 10 to 30 days in jail and 1-year revocation of all hunting privileges)

Aren't they suspended in a lot of other states also?

I do not know the answer to that but I have seen it discussed before so it's quite possible.

Hunting on your own property ain't a privilege, if it were you'd need a license. I'd go a huntin' .

Sounds like it might be a test for the courts. Can the state suspend your "privilege" on your own land?

Mmm Hmmm. I'm liking a feller's chances with several landowners on the jury. That is if the DA was dumb enough to let it go to trial.

But the deer still belong to the state, so if they state says you can’t kill their deer, it doesn’t matter where you are.

central ala,
Both sides here are bringing up good points. Most of us have been here long enough to remember the Lowndes county case that played out on Aldeer. I expect more and more court challenges on game fines and rules in the future.
