My buddy just sent me some updates on the summer plot. All the rain made things grow good, even though I was unable to fertilize it any at all.Was worried about making ears on the corn without nitrogen but it turned out all good.Got 6 acres of summer food, fawning cover and corn for the hunting season.

Got an old friend lets his grow up trashy . He plants and sprays his once , letting the corn get a head start , then lets it get woolly .

I'd freak out with all those weeds but I can stand it if you can

In about 3 years when I am actually living up there and can spray and fertilize as needed it will look much cleaner, greener and making two or more big ears. As for now the critters are just gonna have to deal with the weeds.

Brad, them deer like those weeds. What do you think they were eating before we started planting foodplots?

The weeds don’t bother me but I would like to increase the corn yield.The weds are a great food source for the Quail also. I have seen a definite increase since I started doing the beans/corn field.
