I’ve been working in calera on one of our properties and they are huge and everywhere. I was on the property yesterday and had no problem but today everywhere I go they are tearing me up. They are big enough you feel them land on you and if you don’t you dang sure do when they bite you.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Dang! Seems like the skeeters, in general, haven't been nearly as bad this year. Almost non-existent around our house, and we have a small pond right behind us. The flies, on the other hand, have been awful....and biting flies, at that.

2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement
3. Taxation Is Theft

Your blood alcohol is low. Increase alcohol ratio and they won't bother you.

They have not been too bad around the house but I got home from work and put the boat in the water about 6:45 planning to fish topwaters til about 9:30 or so last night. I left the bass biting and put it back on the trailer at 8:15. Skeeters and biting gnats were so bad I just couldn't stand dealing with them. If you opened your mouth you'd suck them in. I'm itching like crazy today at work from all the bites. Next time I go, I'm bringing a thermacell with me. Did I mention it was still hotter than the blazes of hell at 8:30 last night too?

Elba has skeeters the size of humming birds
And gnats the size of honey bees.

I am pretty sure the state bird here in North Dakota is the skeeter

I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

He's just using the fonetik spelling. grin

dactyl, from the Middle English : dactile and the Greek: daktylus
a word with first sylable is accented and last 2 aren't (tenderly, humanly) , reference to the joints on a finger (1 long joint and 2 lesser joints).

I was bored and looked it up.

I would have never spelled it correctly without spell check. grin

There won't be a mosquito as far away as the next county and mosquitos will come from miles away to get my blood,,,, what quacks me really hard is when I'm getting ate up by em and the person standing next to me says ,, ain't no mosquitos bothering me... that mosquito looks like that dreaded tiger skeeter,,, those sum beaches can fly against the force of the fan on the porch at the camp and raise welps on me the size of a quarter... they are the F14 Tomcats of the mosquito world.. I prob got west nile and zikka and don't even know it yet.
