FinL had a hog killed and we got part of it. I noticed a bag of neck bones in the freezer. What do you do with them?

I would probably make a broth out of them and can it to use in soups and stews. At least that's the first thing that comes to my head. I've never used them before, so I have no idea.

You'd probably get a better response if you asked on the Black Aldeer forum.

Throw them in to season your peas, similar to ham hocks.

Smoke them for an hour or so then put em in a crock pot on low with salt and pepper and a little water until the meat falls off the bone.....mighty fine eating.

Brown them and let them cook with collard greens.

Put them on the grill while you’re smoking other meats. Makes for a good snack while consuming an adult beverage. That would be a separate grill.
