Our city tried sneaking that in on retirees and future retirees. City council meeting got heated over it. Wanted to let them choose their plan from a market. Something has to change and quickly!

When you have to pay that much for premiums and deductibles you do not have insurance.. you have a huge tax bill!

Wiley hate to hear your troubles. If you were started on metformin by chance the medication is free at any publix along with many others. Hope this helps a little

I start metformin Friday. Waiting for the bloodworm to determine my A1C so the dosage can be set. And yes, metformin is real cheap everywhere. I just hope I can tolerate it. About 50% of those Ive talked to get unpredictable, explosive diarrhea from it. I don't need this to get even more worrisome wink

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I honestly feel REAL BAD for ya'll that got to pony up the money - makes me real glad I pulled 20 years in the military and now have tricare covering me and the Mrs as long as I'm alive.

Good luck on the search!

My bcbs is $1790 a month for a family of 5 with no major medical issues. I have a $6500 deductible. Before the “affordable” care act it was $504 a month with a $500 deductible. The $1300 a month it went up could buy a lot. Dental is $75 a month. Obama didn’t mess with that.

I can’t complain. The wife and I have medical through my employer. We pay $420/mo, and the employer pays $800/mo. It is the middle of the road plan with like a $1200 deductible for the family.

I wish the question would come up more with the president. Healthcare and Supreme Court were my biggest concerns.

I'm gonna draft a letter and mail it 3 times a week, every week, to Trump, The Sec of HHS and our 2 US senators. If nothing else I'll piss off some mail reader and something might be said.

If you have GI upset ask for the extended release version. That usually cuts back on the GI side effects due to it slowly releasing.

I got lucky when I retired, I was able to keep my health, prescription, dental and vision insurance for me and my wife who is a type 1 diabetic and has severe erosive osteoarthritis. I pay $469 per month with zero deductables. Drug co pays vary for meds. Primary care of ice visits are $30.00 and specialist are $60. I thank God my employer let us keep our insurance!

I’m 33. For me, wife, and 3yo son, I pay 1,200 a month with 8,000 deductible. I am the sole provider. I work to pay insurance and taxes, and if I’m lucky I get to pay the rest of my monthly bills. I say abolish all insurance companies and people pay their own bills. We pay so much so majority of folks can continue not paying. A Hispanic couple came to er the night we were scheduled for induced labor. Spoke no English and went straight to front of line and we were turned away because she took last bed. They left a couple days later with a healthy baby and no debt. Maybe we should just forget English when visiting doctors.

I think the government wants us to live shorter lives. Look at all the food we are surrounded by. Junk. No cure for cancer? High health care? There is no excuse

The problem is congress, not Trump, he has done everything he can to dismantle o'care but to get rid of it completely it takes congress and the senate voting it out, I have BCBS but can't use it because the deductibles are so high , the only reason I have it is in case I have a wreck or a heart attack..

The end of democracy and the defeat of the American revolution will occur when government falls into the hands of lending institutions and moneyed incorporation's Thomas Jefferson. 1812

This is the truth!!! Look at the amount of dialysis centers that’s popped up in the last 10 years.

It’s a shame how expensive it is for insurance now. I really hate to hear what people are paying for healthcare. It’s not right. I’m lucky enough to pay under $400 for family. I can remember when I was paying $9 a week for single coverage and $20 co pays. Something needs to change for sure!

This is the main problem. The GOP had 8 years to craft a solution and when they got the opportunity to put a plan in action, the establishment threw together an absolute piece of crap. Then they couldn’t even pass that thanks to McCain. I believe the establishment of both parties really like the ACA (though the Republican side can’t say it) because the insurance lobby likes the ACA. It drove out any competition and insured that they could jack up rates with little repercussions. Not to mention those guys don’t have to live under it anyhow.

It is stories like these that make it hard to not justify a single payer system.
