My parents are coming in town this weekend and we are going to head down to Mitchell for a couple of days. We won't be doing any serious fishing but would love to hear what any of you guys think might catch a fish or two down there.

I've never been on the lake. My first thought is early morning, shallow grass/boat docks?

Shallow will be fine early.

If you have electronics, look for any trash on main river points in 12-20 ft of water. Drop a 3/4 oz jigging spoon straight down into it and hold on. Caught 20 spots saturday, and probably another 20 drum/crappie/stripe in the process. Fun for sure. Almost like playing a video game if you got good electronics.
