Amen. Being consistently 5 minutes late is the same as stealing.

I'll give that another Amen.....If I tell you we're meeting at 7:00 then you can expect me to be there somewhere around 6:45-6:50.....If the clock hits 7:01 and I haven't called......send someone looking for my arse because something bad has happened. Not being on time is a big pet peeve of mine......

And I agree, I don't want a doctor or engineer or builder of CNC machines or vehicles or medical folks saying, "Eh, yeah, let me Google that real quick to check what I learned on the webz."

Hey, CLEM! Good to see you too. I'm still alive, but have spent a long time dealing with marriage and personal issues. Didn't hunt any this past winter. Maybe will again in the future . . . we'll see.

I bet if my employer tested everyone at work....they would have to close down operations until they could find enough new guys to pass a drug test. Every week someone tears something up...fails a test then gets fired. A lot of our jobs require a test before we can set foot on that job. Steve has to hand pick guys for those jobs. A new guy told me a while back, he said he was in orentation with about 10 guys. Instructor walked in and said, raise your hand if you can pass a drug test today! He said 2 guys raised their hand. Instructor said ok yall 2 can go take your drug test now and start working today. The rest of yall just show up tomorrow to start working....with no test!

Its amazing how many guys drive to lunch and get stoned while they are gone. They moved my dozer down the road to a new job. I had to ride in the low boy to help him. I left my truck behind. I get to new job and rode to lunch with a new guy. I could tell he didnt want me to ride alomg when i asked to ride to lunch with him. As soon as i got in his truck he said....im gonna be honest with you, im gonna eat mac donalds then smoke a joint on the way back. I said i dont care what you do i just need a ride to eat. We ate, he fired one up, rolled windows down and started blairing rap music so loud i couldnt hear myself think! We pull up to red lights and sure enough....he dont turn the music down. Im thinking please God let me get back without a cop pulling us over. We are in Arab! White guy driving smokin pot with filthy rap busting ear drums. He was a felon too!!! Some guys are just asking to get pulled over. I aint never riding to lunch with him again!

We had a young guy (around 19) hire on a year or so ago, he was tired of driving 70 miles round trip to work making only 9 bucks and hour, so pops started him off at 10. After about 3 days he was complaining about washing a few trucks and cutting some grass, and I over heard say "I'm not nobody's biotch!" To one of the workers, And I told hey man I just got back from cutting the grass at my parents house man, it all pays the damn same. Anyways my Stepdad his the type of Boss that'll still work ya if things get slow, if ya wanna cut some grass or wash some of the trucks that's fine with him, or u can just go home and not make any hours. Well that old boy dragged up the next day and went back to his old job stacking boxes and driving 70 miles round trip instead of staying at the shop driving 16 miles and making more money slap rofl

How many people am i willing to sacrifice for freedom?
Everyone. All of them...

Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

Yep... Some people seem to think they are much more special than they really are. Someone needs to tell that dude, "Yeah, you ain't nobody's bitch, but you ain't any better than anyone else either, now get that bucket and get to washing that truck and shut your damn mouth." I hate to tell that kid, but he's got a long hard life ahead of him with that attitude.

We had a guy quit today. We’ve been fairly slow for about 8 weeks, so a lot of the guys have been doing odd jobs around the office and shop, just getting 35-40hrs. This guy has been with us about a year, was making $22/hr plus a company truck, and had room for advancement into the $30hr + range in the next few years. He quit to go back to his old job as a roofing foreman, where he is topped out at $23/hr. His reasoning was they had “2018 work trucks, instead of 2010s”.......

I heard that cutting a shovel handle in half will keep somebody from leaning on it.
