I'll be planting in dry sandy soil and have it down in my mind to a millet of some type to plant. My problem with Brown Top is how quickly it regenerates from seed after bush hogging and you have a thick green field a few days after the first rain. Will burning it thwart the regrowth (kill the seed) or will Dove Proso with a harder seed be a better option? Burn? No burn? I'm open to other planting options but with sandy dry ground lots of things are out of the question.

Why not just disc and top sow with wheat in late August? That is the plan for after the planted crop plays out. We shoot well into the season and second season if there are birds.

I'll mix mine with 100 lbs 18-46-0 for spreading filler. 15lbs per acre of seed. Try to hit right before a rain then spray 24D on it when 6-8" tall then watch it grow

Is 24d after planting a better option than just glypho-bombing and burning before planting? Just worried the 24d will not kill the bahai that will be fighting for space.

I'll roundup and dicamba mine before planting. There's no grass post emerge options in millett the 24d would be for broadleaf post only. Better kill as much grass at planting as possible
