My microscope looks like that all the time when I am checking fecal samples. The shucks goes on the slide, not your eyeball.

Zeiss scope mounted on heavy 308 so not much recoil. Happened on 3rd shot yesterday. They will fix it; good time of the year to send it in

Has the scope been in a house fire? Don't go there... No, but it did fly off top of car on interstate one time. Only 1 18 wheeler hit it. I tell ya... they just dont make things like they used to.

Then it's definitely a manufacturing defect and they should give you a free scope to replace the POS and half off your next scope.

I've seen that before but it was on a Bushnell 4x9 cheapo scope. The O-ring in there is defective and fell out.

Update. Got a call from Zeiss. Didn't say what was wrong but said replacement scope would ship today. Great customer service... Glad they took care of things for you.
