Actually pot smokers may not do that, but drug users/abusers, in general, will steal things to sell to fund their habits. There are few places that will employ you if you can't pass a drug test.

Nah...with weed it's way too easy to just grow your own.

195 hectacres would be 19,500 acres of marijuana. Cheech and Chong would be in heaven.

Stoners don't go to the store, they grow or get it the old fashion way. Its so prevalent here, teens just give it to each other if they tight.

Do what I did--retire to Oregon. grin There are shops around here selling grams for $3, and black market is as low as $20 per ounce. $20 per ounce is '60s prices, and Oregon weed is far more potent than hippie weed. You would need a very long retirement to smoke 10 pounds. Probably end up stuck in a rocking chair staring out the window.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Since I have never smoked pot, I have a pretty naive but legitimate question: What effect does pot have that makes it so desirable ?

Like sex, it affects everybody differently so you'd have to try it to find your happy place laugh

For the same reason that anyone would take a drink of alcohol, or anti-anxiety medication, or pain relievers, etc etc

Getting old, pot gets you high just like all the other drugs and alcohol. Different weeds give you different variations of that high. If you study the effects marijuana has on the human body, it works about like all the others. But, for some reason, some people dont consider it a drug, much like alcohol. So, if its not a drug, then it must be ok right? That is a matter of opinion, unless you still use the original method of determining right from wrong, in that case, it is still wrong, and it will always be wrong, no matter who sais it is ok, our govt included.

Yeah more like $20/gram. Plus people don’t smoke the buds anymore. Half the people you see vaping are using THC oil. Pens, and edibles is where it’s at.

The only thing wrong with pot is that its illegal. Which i think is wrong. Alcohol is way more dangerous. You can smoke a bag of pot and drive and function just fine. Might drive a little slower though, which is even safer! I had much rather deal with some stoners than some drunks.

It relaxes me. It makes me very cautious and humble. Makes me hungry. I can sleep like a baby. Nothing better than to fire it up and start fishing or being outside working. If im irritated or in a bad mood it will totally make me relaxed and happy and thankful for what i have. It gives me a strong reality check every time i smoked it. Brought me down to earth and kept me from doing stupid stuff like fussing or fighting or even doing dangerous work. It makes me focus. I love to fish and smoke and relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Its a shame that people think its a horrible thing. They think its horrible but have no clue as to how and what it does to you in reality. People have been misled by the government and believed it. The only thing i see wrong with it is it being illegal, might make you hungry or forgetful. Other than that there aint no more harm in it than abusing cigarrettes or caffine or chocolate.

That's not true. Pot will affect judgement and motor skills. You may build up a tolerance but, its not a safe alternative if driving. Plenty stoners here but, they're not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Growing up the youngest kid in the neighborhood I am just floored at the amount of lawyers, teachers and school principals I know who good lord were members of the Kiss Army, had strobe lights and macabre beads hanging from their doors. They smoked dope like it was required to breath.. nonstop.

I spent four years bartending during college and there is no way Pot is 1/100th as bad as booze. In my opinion it should be legal except with driving restrictions. I still get mad at myself that I didnt go find some to give to my father during his illness. His death certificate even listed malnutrition as he just wasnt hungry. Maybe pot would have helped his appetite...

I had friend tell me he smoked a few doobies and then drove 80 mph on I-10 during the middle of hurricane Opal.

Just my experience and opinion. pot's biggest draw is that you can't do it. That's why most people the do it stop when they grow up. Not addictive like meth, heroin, coke, opiates, or alcohol.
