I've got about a dozen squash plants that were Bonnie plants. They've been in the ground for about 2 weeks. They seem to be stunted and aren't putting on much growth. They're also blooming a good bit but most all of the fruit is falling off when it is tiny. My other plants all seem to be doing good so I don't think it's a soil issue. Think I got some bad plants?

Heat? I plant seeds and they haven't done well either. It's dry and hot or was. Buy some more and put the fertilizer to them. If you cant grow squash, you need to get out of gardening. Hahah. Prolly was bad plants or the weather.

It be's that way sometimes.

I'm not sure Crenshaw but my guess would be too much or not enough fertilizer. The only set plants I buy are tomatoes. I always plant squash from seed. last year I messed up and put fish emulsion on my squash and they went crazy. The plant was beautiful but the it wouldn't bare fruit .

I did not plant any yellow squash but did plant zucchini and it is doing great. Only planted two plants, because I did not want to be overrun with zucchini. I also put in plants; they were small when put in the ground but took off immediately.

Maybe those plants were exposed to something...try replanting.

Be kind to one another and tell the ones you love that you love them often. We never know what tomorrow will bring.

Check Alabama coop. Extension system. They have list of problems and how to fix. I call it my Bible.
