I can see AU winning 31-17....course I can also see UDubs QB throwing for 784 yards and 5 TD's and add 3 Rush TD's in early Heisman performance. Gus had better have consistency this season. ^^^ This, I agree with. In another thread about AU and Gus, it was pointed out that his teams get off to a slow start trying to find their identity, have sucked in November other than with big wins here and there, lose a critical game - like LSU last year - and although in five seasons has done relatively well it's been disappointing. The SEC is tough and Bama's great run skews things, but IMO it's been disappointing. Also, losing to UCF sucked but honestly I don't care about that. Gus didn't seem to give a chit about the game and neither did the players. Same as with Oklahoma even with the QB injury and Johnson having to play. The $7 Million Man better produce something this season. I don't think they would fire him unless they found him molesting cows or something, but a terrible year would definitely put him on the hotseat no matter what his paycheck is. (And good for him for parlaying the salary game into a fat check. It's stupid money but that's how things go today. I'd have done the same.)

Lot of folks out in Washington are excited and getting geared up at another shot at the SEC. Theyre talking about putting a whoopin on Auburn. What say the Auburn folks? I haven't heard a peep about college football in Oregon or Washington since last year. No where near the fan base the SEC schools have. Bunch of band wagon fans that only come out at certain times of the year. Ya buddies must be near Seattle. With that said, I hope Auburn rolls them. I would go to the game but, I'm a Bama guy and NO WAY I'm giving up and elk hunting day for that.

Actually all my friends are around the Spokane area. You should’ve heard the grief they gave me when they played Bama. Like I said I’m still owed a meal at the local pub up around Metaline for that loss. I really think their hopes will be dashed later in the game with Auburn but time will tell on that one. As someone has said it depends on which team shows up for Auburn

As someone has said it depends on which team shows up for Auburn I figured they were up north. The guys I know down here stay silent until they start winning, then they poke their chests out. One "L" and they clam back up. I'm just glad Oregons on the skids, guys here were very vocal, now, ya hardly hear them. I do enjoy wearing my Bama gear up here.

Way too much defense for Browning to look like the #6 qb.Stidham will light the Cougars up,and the "non-existent" running game will roll. This game will not live up to the hype Washington ain't the "Cougars".

SI has the Huskies (or as you call them Cougars) rated #4 in the nation, the barn #16. This game just may be a little closer than a barner cares to admit.

The Huskies are a passing and pass coverage team and will handle that aspect of the game but its the run game that they have trouble with especially the SEC run game. That being said the game will be hinged on Auburns run game and their defense ability to stop the passing ability of Browning. I still think Auburn will wear them down later in the game and pull out the W

This game will be way over hyped. The barn will take care of business and send them back to the left coast with a loss on opening day.

There is absolutely no facts to base a prediction on, just opinions. My opinion is those teams on the west coast and most of the country just aren't SEC caliber teams most years. Auburn wins . Now, Auburn lost 4 starting offensive linemen. History of teams losing that many starters on o-line doesn't look good for Auburn. There is a reason they were the starters, they were better. Teams returning all o-line historically usually improve greatly over the prior season. About Dec. we will know if Auburn falls into the mold of not. It's all about the o and d lines....And losing Daniel Carlson has to hurt. No way Auburn can keep running fg kickers out there that good. Surely they will eventually get a sucky one. Far be it from me to make a positive remark on the Barn but Daniel Carlson’s brother will kick next year, he is every bit as good and probably even better than Daniel.

Daniel had ice water in his veins. Sometimes ability, pressure, and mentality takes an excellent kicker and puts him in a Crimson uniform. I'm just glad Daniel is gone. He was there 18 years it seemed like.

Gus will use the game as an opportunity to play all of the running backs on the squad, three quarterbacks, and substitute most of his offensive and defensive players in order to find out who should be starters. That is his usual plan at the beginning of the season. Don't know what the hail he does in spring and fall practices. Unless the Huskies really suck, they will win the game. You gotta love Auburn to pull for a Malzahn team.
