Yesterday I watched some Youtube videos of the April 27 outbreak. It's still mesmerizing to watch that stuff and see the aftermath. One of the 3 Guntersville tornadoes came straight over my place and took 2 trees down along with other minor damage. I say it came directly over because a tree 20 feet out had it's top twisted completely out and another tree 200 feet the opposite direction blew down in the opposite direction. All this happened while I was on the road driving to work. I pray that none of us have to go thru anything like that ever again.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Tornados and Hurricanes are regular events around here. Dont need a tv program to show us about them. My first house I bought is now a brand new apartment complex in Tuscaloosa, cause it was vaporized by the April 27 tornado.

I have to admit the EMAs across the state have gotten much better about the warnings. They've stopped crying wolf everytime the sky turned cloudy. I think James Spann had a lot to with correcting that problem. For a while they was blowing them stupid sirens for every mild rain event. It got so silly that nobody even paid attention to them.

My first house I bought is now a brand new apartment complex in Tuscaloosa, cause it was vaporized by the April 27 tornado. This was a show about the science behind them. How they form, what determines their size, multiple vortices, etc. Being that y'all live with them I can't blame ya for not wanting to watch.

I do believe they're working on and may already know why the stronger spinners have a tendency to track the same paths frequently within a few miles. Has to do with terrain vortices or something.

I think James Spann had a lot to with correcting that problem. For a while they was blowing them stupid sirens for every mild rain event. It got so silly that nobody even paid attention to them. Ol' Doppler Dan Satterfield, that used to be on Channel 19 up here, was famous for issuing his own Tornado Warnings until the NWS slapped his hand. Congress gave the power to issue warnings to the NWS and ONLY the NWS. Ol' Dan Satterfield thought he was the greatest weatherman ever to live and had people so complacent due to his crying wolf so much that we never listened to him. He's somewhere in TN now, I believe, and I'm glad we're rid of him.

Take a look at the historical tornado tracks across Orrville and Marion Junction. There's absolutely a tornado alley, actually several of them, across the state. I used to track them when I worked in selma, and they may still have my map in the office, but I could just about tell you where they was going before they arrived.

When that EF4 ripped through Marion Junction and Summerfield, in 1994, I lost two neighbors, good friends.

I was 5 mins behind driving down 80 in that one. It was bad. Some of it was unrecognizable. It was before cell phones were a big everyday item so I had no idea what happened on up the road. It hit our horse barn square on at persimmon tree rd.

We looked at a salvage timber sale in the early 80's on Eglin AFB where a tornado cut a path about 1/4 mile wide and 9 miles long thru some old growth timber. It was amazing how it would twist off a tree right between three or four more trees or twist off a 100 foot circle of trees and leave two or three right in the middle of them. These were 24 or so inch trees. They delved into this as well. Things like how a table is left standing, with a coffee cup on it, in the middle of total devastation.

More than once I've seen pics of a book, especially the Bible, open to a certain page that was left untouched and still on that page with total devastation within 5 feet of it in every direction.
