Took my wife and son this morning. Trying to get her on her first turkey. Probably heard 10-12 from the roost. Got close to 3 of them and got them to respond. After about 30 minutes my wife and 8 year old were freezing and wanted to go back to the truck. I left the gobbling birds and walked them back to the pond where they knew how to find the truck. I then took back to where I left the birds gobbling. I checked them and they had moved down the pasture about 209 yards. I made a big circle and got in front of them. I set up about 30 yards from the edge and could see them about 100 yards out. Fooled with them about 30 minutes, and saw where 2/4 of the gobblers broke loose and were making their way to me. They came right up the edge of the pasture and I gave him a dirt nap at 35 yards. 9 1/2 beard 1 1/4 spurs 18 pounds

Congrats! Sounds like wherever you are hunting now is a lot better than your old Coosa county club.

Good job Chris. Stand down Outback. I've met his wife and yes, he out kicked his coverage and married up.
I came, I saw, so I killed them all......Vern

That Coosa County club was full of birds. I killed 20-25 off that place the 5 years I hunted it.
