At halftime, Mac Jones was 12-for-21 for 179 yards with 1 TD, 1 INT. Jalen Hurts went 6-for-14 for 32 yards with 0 TDs, 0 INTs.
Saban was heard on hot mic saying “I mean the third team quarterback can move the team right down the field throwing the ball."

They’ve given Jalen 2 full seasons and 3 springs to develop him. He just can’t do it. From what I saw yesterday he’ll be transferring soon. It was more of the same, look at one receiver and then run if he’s not open. He also still can’t hit a receiver in stride. Open receivers had to slow down or stop to wait on the ball

But the bammers sure try to make it a big deal. I’m one of those bammers, Ive just never got worked up over a spring game. I dont see anybody making a big deal, just guys talking about their team. You barners sure are sensitive bunch......

After the spring game and the performance by Mack Jones, Saban knows he's got a decent back up. Now, he probably could care less whether Jalen goes or stays. If he stays, great, if he leaves, "bye Felicia". Jalen and his daddy certainly are not in a position of leverage now. Not that they ever were to start with.

He was facing the 2's but also running with the second offense against them. If he was working against the 1's, he would have also had the first string line, WRs and RBs. Given that, I doubt that the results would've changed much. He made a couple mistakes but overall looked pretty dang solid.
