I rode over to Shaw’s place Saturday morning and got new strings and cables put on my tournament rig. My old string had stretched almost a 1/2 inch. Due to all the nice weather we had Saturday I wasn’t able to shoot it until Sunday. After a few rounds I was having problems with arrows randomly hitting high. I realized that my peep was about an 1/8 inch to high even though Shaw asked me several times if I was sure that’s where I wanted it. This was causing me to not get the same anchor point on every shot. So I moved it down. I also paper tuned just to be sure. It shot bullet holes on the first shot. Now if I can just keep the nut between the string and riser from messing up everything will be just fine. Thanks Shaw.

I’ve got a 15/16 deep well on the back bar and a 5/8 deep well on the front bar. It gives me 6 oz on the front and 16 oz on the back bar. It’s a lot cheaper than stabilizer weights. They’re about $10 an ounce. Also gives it a redneck theme.

Plus if he has a flat or fouls out a spark plug, he’s got the tools necessary to handle it. It is pretty slick. You wouldn’t know it unless you looked at them close.
