Regardless of whoever your team is it is sad that these guys throw away a once-in-many lifetime opportunities. And the chance to make more money than most of us will even begin to imagine.
If I was that stupid and getting paid that much money, I would hire a team of big guys to stop me from doing stupid things when I'm about to do them. That, though, would take the will to not do stupid things, which I believe he lacks.

Man, the Saints dodged a bullet on him. They were ready to draft him in the first round when the 49ers traded one spot ahead of them and selected him The Saints then took Ryan Ramsyck who was a Pro bowl tackle his rookie season.

I don't think it's really that sad. Sad is some guy in a wheelchair, or some guy who never even had a shot. He's had many shots.
FWIW, I have a friend that was arrested for Misdemeanor DV in Cali when bammer played in the Rose Bowl. My name was mentioned as someone familiar with the past between him and his now ex-wife, who is also a friend, and the detective from out there called me and my mind was blown by the seriousness (not that I don't take it serious) that they take this in Cali. All I can say is that if Foster is found guilty, he's f'ed. He'll have plenty of time to get a prison artist to cover his AU tattoo if it still exists.

These coaches at the D-1 schools have a heck of a time keeping these guys out of trouble. Most of the black kids come from single-parent homes in bad neighborhoods that are in severe moral decline. Then they are given free rides to represent the university. I'm to the point where I'd just rather see lesser athletes who are upstanding citizens. Stop rewarding scholarships for bad behavior.

I would too.....but it will never happen.
Coaches sealed this fate when they chose winning over character.
We can blame whomever we want, but it all comes back to us, and folks like us, does it not? Follow the money. Schools sign whatever coach that will win, who has to recruit players that will win, to get the TV dollars that come from advertisers that buy expensive ads because we're watching. What am I missing?

I still think there are some coaches that will demand character from their players even if it means losing some talent and still win some games. I used to think Paterno was in that crowd but I think that notion has been killed. One that does come to mind however is perhaps Franklin, his successor. I haven't studied him too close, but I know he can coach and seems to demand good conduct. Of course, only time will tell the truth.

You might want to talk to the folks at Vandy about that.

Or the girls his players raped.
Did he cover it up and keep the players on the team? I honestly don't know.

I’m all for it. I say do away with scholarships and just play whoever you have at your school.

Reuben is an idiot and he's probably let his shoe sized IQ piss away millions of dollars. Kids like that do well in a system where they are held in check but when they get out on their own they don't do so well. Much like the "good kids" who go off to college (not athletes) and then go crazy partying when they are unsupervised.

Very good comparison.....i've never thought of it that way.
I had much rather be tried by twelve than carried to my grave by six!!!!

Interesting that there is a video showing her fighting with a female instead of him.
At least half of the domestic violence cases I have defended involved a female that lied to the police about what happened.
In my experience, some lie when they were the original aggressors, but even more originally tell the truth and end up recanting after they have cooled down and realize Daddy and his paycheck will be sleeping somewhere else soon. That is one of the dynamics of domestic violence cases and just part of the predictable cycle.

Being the Marxist liberal state where this happened, he may have a hard time beating the fiearms charge. I wonder if Nick’s lawyer who gets his players off in Alabama is licensed to practice in Kalifornicator?
