Well yesterday was just freaking awesome. I set up Saturday morning where we had seen some birds Friday afternoon and had 3 killed in a little over an hour. I had planned on going to the killing tree saturday afternoon and since Preston had only killed one that morning I told him to come with me. I knew it would be a good afternoon, and we even had to run birds out of the field as we got there. Within thirty minutes of sitting down, we had a few hens and a gobbler in front of us and another gobbler 10 yards behind us that we could only here. The birds in front of us finally saw something they didnt like before the gobbler behind us move around, so I told Preston to go ahead and kill the bird in front for his 2nd.

About an hour later, we got some birds fired up to our left and they came in hot and fast. It ended up being 3 gobblers by theirselves, and they walked within 6 steps of us. They finally smelled a rat at 10 steps and we finished our limits with a triple and they were all 3 studs. We couldn’t have asked for a better day.
