planted 2 chestnuts, 3 plum, and 1 crabapple trees today, and put protective cages around them with t-posts. And watered em in.
I have some persimmons I may keep in pots till next spring to plant.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

one of my grafted persimmons that I planted last year FINALLY started to leaf out. One died and I figgered this one was dead also. I've got two more in pots I will keep in pots till next year. I have a dead Keiffer Pear I need to replace also.

I have a dead Keiffer Pear I need to replace also. Saw one Keiffer at wal mart and it was $40. "pineapple pears" were $24 and touted as being very hard to kill, but they drop mid/late summer. I managed to get 3 chestnut, and about 10 blue berry of different variety in the ground. Thats probably all for me now since im having to drive back and forth to property to keep them watered every few days. id like to get a couple of the auburn chestnuts and see how they compare to these others
