Trapping is the most effective way to control them, you'll never get rid of them. New ones always move in. Trap once after deer season for 10 days, and once right before the fawns drop for 10 days. Use heavy baits and lures in the winter. Mild lure in the summer, chunk meat such as old deer meat, or fish guts. A lot of people in the summer just use a lure and a piece of sheeps wool because it helps with the ants.
