I drink plenty of water, up to 8 or 10 bottles a day.
I drink almost a gallon of milk every day.
I eat a couple of bananas every day.
I don't take Tums.
Occasionally add ACV to my water but it causes mt thumbnails to turn orange.
Mustard hasn't ever really helped with other cramps that I've had.
I don't take cholesterol meds.

I'll get some of the Leg Cramps pills and take them

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Hope they work for you. I was having severe cramps in my calves and feet almost every night. Would wake up yelling some choice words when it happened.

Tonic water has some quinine in it. They don't prescribe (insurance won't pay) for the quinine tablets anymore for leg cramps because technically its to treat malaria. Try drinking a glass of tonic water before bed. It seems to really help a lot of people with nocturnal leg cramps. If you try all the above recommended stuff and still no improvement, consider going to see your PCP to get checked out

I've got the same leg cramps. I have tried all of the above remedies with very mixed results. I was up at 3:00 am this morning chugging pickle juice to try to get the foot/ankle cramps gone. Mine started shortly after I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I have been told that cramps are part of the symptoms of type 2. It seems that when I am taking vitamin D supplements and potassium supplements that they will subside, but when I lay down in the bed and turn my foot or leg a certain way, the cramp can come back quickly. I hope you figure out what works, and if you do, please let me know.

This is what I have used as a last resort for leg cramps. It does work but extremely hard to get insurance to pay for

Not sure why insurance would be needed. Publix sells 33 oz bottles for like a dollar.

An old home remedy that my old man used was to keep spray bottle of vinegar by the bed and would spray what ever muscle was cramping. He swore by it.

Quinine is a good choice.

What he said.
I’ve backed off my statin and they have just about gone away. Along with some other aches and pains.
I have to try some replacements now.

Good to know. but I think the straight quinine 324mg is prolly more powerful than just the tonic water. But I will let them know

A remedy that many old people swear by is to put a bar of soap down at around their feet under the covers, I don’t know anything about it but have heard from many folks that it cured leg cramps at night

Take a chelated magnesium supplement. It's cheap but you'll need to order it online as the stuff in stores is oxide or citrate and poorly absorbed.
