I've been shooting barns ttsx and tsx out of my 700 30-06 for 10 +years with great results. I recently purchased a TC pro hunter 300wm and I've been thinking about cheating on barns and trying the Bergers. Plan on getting some 185gr and 190 gr. Do any of y'all have any experience loading these ? If so how did they preform on the animal?

DRT but I wasn't really impressed with the damage considering what I had read about explosive performance.

The bergers don't explode. They do however separate slightly. In a 190-200gr projectile your gonna have to shoot quite the animal in order for that to happen. I have shot the 190s and currently have the 210s for my 300wm. All perform great on deer.
Only accurate rifles are interesting.

The wound channels I've seen with the two deer I shot were just not as impressive as I've seen with several other bullets. Sirreas, noslers AB, Hornsby SST have larger wound channels.

AU- from my experience you get the better wound channels with the lighter bullets. The 168 grain and below have shown very good results
Only accurate rifles are interesting.
