As promised here are some pics of the rack being officially scored this afternoon for entry to Boone and Crockett by TWRA wildlife officer in Del Rio Tennessee. He came up short of the all time record book by just under 2 inches (I was off on a few measurements on the green score) but a heckuva deer all the same.
I'm a little bit mean, but I make up for it by being REAL healthy.
Deducting points from a buck's rack just pisses me off. Buck of a lifetime.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Boone & Crockett is an unfair and overrated scoring system. There are other scoring methods that should be recognized as a national standard. Wild animals grow to trophy status via their survival instinct and strength. They should be admired and revered for what they grew, without silly deductions.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.
Does anyone know what Matt Choates deer from up this way ended up scoring offcially? Was very similar to this one, but I figure maybe a little better.
If 2Dogs chimes in, He may know.
Thanks for posting UtilityDude. Heck of a deer.
Tell the TWRA officer that he may have a long lost brother name Kramer Bergman. I haven't seen Kramer around in a while, but if my memory serves me correct-They do favor a little.

I had a deer officially scored once. Started out at 150 and ended up in the upper 120's. By the time I got done looking over my score sheet, I about regretted shooting the little thing.
That's a joke, of course.

Great buck. Hate it didn't make the book, but that's just a stupid number, it' would be a lifetime buck for most anyone. Congrats. And, 26" beams and 13" G2's ... nice.
I was thinking the same damn thing! Looks like them boys could be a tag team on WWF.
Ya'll must be some scrawny little tenderfoots. Around here we all look like that. Some of us have a bit larger belt size as we get older. But thems just average farm boys right there.

Great deer Teryl! I would have rolled him regardless of what he scored. Dang shame me and Utility Dude drive 4.5 hrs to hunt when deer like that are practically in our back yard.

I work with "average farm guys" and I'll have to say none look like that. Most are busy working in the field and don't have time stay in a gym.

I am surprise that there isn't some sort of water displacement measurement for deer racks.
A bucket with a tube sticking out of the side. Submerge the antler until it is completely in the water Measure how much water the antler displaces
Probably need a valve on the bucket, too allow the water to settle from submerging the antler
Seems like I’ve seen this sort of method.(maybe used used over-seas?) It would allow for total mass throughout the tips of the points and etc. Seems like a better more unified way of doing it. IMO. I’ve never researched it much.

If you want to feel better about the score have it scored through SCI. If he grew it, it counts with SCI.
I've known folks to submerge a rack in a 55 gallon drum for the required 60-day "Drying" period but it isn't exactly legal. That's why they call it a drying period. However you can store the rack in the freezer for 60-days and that will slow down the shrinkage.
