Nice gun - one of those under rated old military rifles. 7.5 French is a hard hitting .30 round on par with 30-06. The rifle has lots of combat history from Colonial pre WWII through Indochina in the 1950s. 7.5 French rounds can be made by using cut down reformed 30.06 cases and any .308 bullet. Sights are unique as is the reverse bolt and no safety. The compact size makes a great deer or truck rifle. no option for a scope though. Good price too.

Dammit man! I'm an easy mark for old military rifles.

What do they say about French military rifles?

"Never shot in combat, only dropped once." grin

Welcome - again, its a good solid battle proven rifle. We were still encountering them in Vietnam in 69-70. Does yours have the socket bayonet? At Dien Bien Phu (1954, first Indochina War) French mercenaries had run out of ammo, were surrounded, and when surrender was demanded by the Viet Minh they armed themselves with MAS 36s, attached bayonets, and charged down the hill into the Viet Minh. No survivors.

Unfortunately mine doesn't have the bayonet , but I think you can order a replacement for a reasonable price online

Bump. Guns still for sale. Also have added a lot more ammo with it. Will do $375 for gun and 500 rounds of ammo. The ammo alone is worth about $350
