I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

This horribly written story said he'd checked with the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame in Wisconsin, not the IGFA. That's two different organizations.
Man nothing gets by you does it?  But yes it is pretty poorly written. Daggum. Maybe I should start writing for outdoor online sources. Some of this stuff is worse than Buzzfeed. It's written by 25-year-olds who don't know chit about the outdoors and are trying too hard, and who have no editorial oversight. It's why our "local news" has stories about a 2-seater airplane crash in Idaho or a Jerkin' the Gerkin' Festival in Vermont. No one in a TV newsroom is old enough or empowered enough to say "Hell no, you're not doing that. Rewrite this story."

Big fish but it's not 80 # . I'd say 45 ish . There must not be any current or submerged trees in that lake. I think a guy landed a 40 stripe there last spring with 12# line from the bank on a bass setup. That's hard for me to belive. Blues will roll over and float up once they make a good initial run. I wouldn’t believe it if it was a flathead. Shiloh has caught 1 or 2 good blues. Probably 1 or 2 this morning and 1 or 2 yesterday lol. That striper was 43 lbs. how many good blues you caught on light gear whack and stack? I caught a 43 pounder last year on 30 lb braid with 20 lb flouro leader on a med heavy veritas spinning rod that didn’t get that 1 run and submit memo.

Im happy for the guy. I hope it all checks out but the pics are piss poor but that being said it's hard to hold an 80 # cat out like a 5# bass..

Im thinkin 35-45 pounds. I sure dont see 80. Not even 60 That thing is all of 80 lbs its just harder to make an 80lbs fish look bigger on camera because you cant hold it out at arms length to make it look bigger like everyone does with bass. This one is at least 55 https://photos.app.goo.gl/GVPBHOP0WWBA5dot2 we put it on the scale at the fish camp and it bottomed out the scales that maxed 45 that was about 10 years ago though i look like a damn baby in that picture
