Congrats Randy on limiting out in Bama! Truly awesome job you have done! Good luck hunting in those other states! I’m hoping I’ll get my chance at a gobbler before season is out.

I finally got on the board today! This is my first double beard! I was pretty excited! It was my buddy Jon's first time to double kill gobblers! It was a rainy wet and cold morning, but the turkeys still turkey'd!! I can't figure out the picture posting thing, but here's my best shot...

Congrats guys, hoping to have some luck on Monday. Got a local report of birds strutting in the fields.

So, I went to a property where I haven't had much luck the last 2 seasons. I know there are birds there so I always try at least once or twice. I set up in a central spot where I could hear good. I could see into one of our food plots as well as the power line. I don't call much, and only yelped softly once early, then purred about 45 minutes later. I expected the turkeys to come from the power line, but after an hour and a half (7:30am) he gobbled to my left across the food plot, about 75 yds. I was looking the other way, so I slowly brought my head around and he's out there strutting for all he's worth. I'min the shade and in good cover, it's a thicket of short pines just tall enough to hide in and not get silhouetted. I slowly scooted around the base of my tree so I was pointed in his direction, he was gobbling every few minutes, about 70 times in all. I had a hen decoy out in the lane that connects the plot to the power line and he could see her. I only purred, and scratched I the pine straw, and he slowly made his way to me. At one point I lost sight of him because of a dip out in the field, and I got anxious, so I lifted up my fan-tail, and he saw it! He came fast and I shot him at 20 steps, coming through the pines instead of walking the lane to the decoy! It happened fast when he thought another gobbler was close! Here's the best part, he has two beards! So I had never shot a gobbler with multiple beards up until this season, now, both birds I've shot this season had them! I gotta do a few things tomorrow, but I'll try for another before work again on Wednesday.

Congrats Goose. Looks like a lot of multiple bearded birds getting knocked down this year.
What you do today, you have to sleep with tonight.

Awesome goose! I’ll be in the woods all day Wednesday. So hopefully I’ll get one, I haven’t been able hunt to hunt much because of work this year. I’m trying my hardest to get one. But I know when it’s time the good lord will bless me with a bird.

Congrats, but I'm going to the club on Saturday no matter what the wife says....... Unless it's no, then I guess I won't.

Congrats guys. I been giving them all I can but I just can't close the deal on another one. I finally got on a bird yesterday but I couldn't out hen his hens and I couldn't make them mad enough to come at me. Had to sit and watch them walk away. Was hoping to go back after them today but this just ain't letting me. I'll be on them again Friday morning. Hopefully the hens will be on the nest by then.
What you do today, you have to sleep with tonight.

Hang in there DBMV! It’ll happen! I’m looking forward to next week, the gobbling has really picked up here in Franklin County. They gonna start feeling desperate soon!
