Analysis I enjoyed watching Matt Wyatt breakdown each throw. He did Tua's first nine passes and will continue to post videos of all his passes this year. Article

Saban wasn't an all-Pro NFL player. I wonder if he's qualified to judge a QB? Apparently not. He played Jalen all year. Yep. That National Championship we got this year really stings. I wish we could've blown everyone out by more. I do, agree though, 26-2 record is pretty abysmal by Alabama standards.

I was just stating a fact that he played an inferior qb for the whole season. I think most bammers would agree with that statement.

There are plenty of examples of guys who never played or marginal players who went on to make good coaches. Matt Wyatt may not be a household name but he probably knows more about the qb position most fans.

Heard him on the Chuck Oliver show on Tuesday. He sounded like a sharp dude. He now tells everyone his claim to fame is that he was sacked by Kirby Smart. Going to be in WJOX at 1 talkin Tua

I'm pretty sure he played HS ball at Prattville. Don't recall him doing much at Miss. State but all because you don't have the physical talent to make it big, you can still know the game better than many that do.

Matt played at Prattville in mid-90s and then signed with MSU. Wasn't a starter but played some, and beat Auburn's ass in Auburn his senior year.
He's a good guy, studious, has done well pursuing his career and knows what he's talking about.

knows what he's talking about. I don't think folks realize how smart you have to be to sit and talk sports on the radio all day. You've got to have deep knowledge of lots of things. Your average football fan couldn't even come close.

I'd add a caveat to that - to be GOOD at sitting and talking about it for hours, you need to have knowledge and especially if you're going to dissect plays, discuss why-when a QB did this or the CB or LB should've done that or set up a certain way. I've listened to a lot of talk shows that are horrible because Billy Bob or Goober think they can push a button to have a caller spew ignorant chit. But the difference, as you said Rem, is having the knowledge along with good speaking and people skills. I couldn't do it because I'd say "Uh" too much and probably throw in a "You're f'king stupid" at some point, which would get me fired.

They might as well hand the Heisman to Tua today, it won't be close next year...
