Ill be willing to bet buying the license will require that the corn not be broadcast on the ground and must be in some form of trough

The fee is attached to the license.

Just look at it as a license increase.....most of the purists who claim they would never hunt near bait can just look at it as a donation to the DCNR.

I heard someone in the DCNR say just last week in his opinion he did not think it would go thru now after all the talk of the mississippi deer that was going around

I dont really see how it would prevent cwd from spreading with all the corn thats put out anyway and the supplemental feed in the off season

Y’all do understand this bill is being proposed by LEGISLATORS and not the DCNR. Some of the comments make me think that some of you are under the impression that the state agency is pushing this for more license revenue. So far that is not the case. Just a clarification

I do, Matt.

The Legislature is the only ones that can make and pass laws.

But, irregardless, the compromise was made to gain support for the Bill by the addition of the fees to offset the loss of revenue generated by fines. And, it clearly says that.

Well, then I could dump 50 different corn piles around and just have a single stamp...b/c I can only hunt one at a time.

Completely understand that.

As for y'all saying "Should be on the license" or "Should be on the feeder" or "I scatter corn bur don't use a feeder so ..."

Y'know what? As usual, the legislators didn't ask you and don't give a chit about you or your opinions.

He is emphasizing that a legislator came up with this idiotic schitt and it didn't originate from the DCNR.

So that's a big difference.

One thing that I am wondering about is who would get the $15?

assuming these stickers will have barcodes and serial numbers, maybe even anti counterfeit measures. Someone will have to log all that info in and keep up with it.

($15/ea sounds high to cover costs, but there will be costs)

Correct.

It's for a "bait privilege license", which will be $15 for residents, and $50 for non-residents.

I've got more guns than feeders. This could get expensive.

HB 21. Found it. It went through some stuff today (not exactly sure what) and is labeled “engrossed” as of right now. Not sure what that means.
