I wasn’t aware that an AR 15 was the only gun used for protection....
I had much rather be tried by twelve than carried to my grave by six!!!!

Personally, and this is just me, I don't see the purpose in assault rifles. I have no desire to own one. It wouldn't effect me at all if they banned a rifle that looks like a machine gun. Just keep the ones that look like hunting guns and I'm happy. I don't believe for one minute that a ban would change a thing. Evil is evil. When you start down the road of "its ok to ban this or that firearm" it ends with all of them gone for one reason or another. All the left needs is an excuse. Use your head for something other than wearing a cap!!!!! BTW there is no such thing as an assault rifle.
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

And contrary to the media's definition, AR doesn't denote Assault Rifle. The AR stands for Armalite Rifle, for the company who developed it in the 50s. The idea that a gun is more dangerous because it "looks" menacing is totally absurd and ignorant. Any "weapon" used to harm people is an "Assault Weapon", beit a gun, knife, club or rock.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

I knew that my statement wasn't going to be very popular. I get it, the 2nd amendment has nothing to do with hunting. It has to do with the people being able to stand up to a tyrannical government. I don't think a semi auto weapon with a large clip will make a difference when standing up to the military anymore. That was written along time ago in an age before missiles lol. I know I'm in the minority here, and if I were into the whole AR thing I'm sure I would feel different about it. With that being said you guys do see that we've already started "down that road". There are many banned guns already. They are banned because it's easy to kill a large number of people with them. We have been on this road for a long time I'll play your silly little game, what guns are these that are banned due to being so 'easy to kill large numbers of people'?

Fully automatic guns and semi auto rifles with short barrels. They ain't banned. I can purchase them through a gun trust with extensive background checks through the ATF and a tax stamp.

Fully automatic guns and semi auto rifles with short barrels. Neither are banned, do you feel that they should be?

Yup large capacity magazines are useless. One hit is firepower. I'd give up AR's if the concept and power behind Democrats was banned too.

No really I'm not trolling. I'm not that kind of guy. My whole view on this is just not the norm. I've had guns my whole life and would never let anyone take my hunting heritage away. Ever. And I know a lot of people out there want to ban every single gun in America. They believe that will solve the violence problem and they are wrong. Banning assault guns won't fix the problem of mentally deficient people wanting to kill defenseless human beings. I'm just conflicted about the argument FOR assault guns. It's hard for me to understand why someone would need them outside of law enforcement. Or even want them. But please understand I'm not the troller guy just looking for an argument. I feel like the point I made about us already on the road of a weapons ban was a valid point. It's easy to say "You're just trolling now." But it's a little tougher to say yeah you're right, we are already down that road.

Fully automatic guns and semi auto rifles with short barrels. Neither are banned, do you feel that they should be? Your right. Banned was not the right word to use. In the last assault rifle ban, they weren't really banned either. You could still buy them with the process you guys are talking about. Is that correct?

And I've taken game with everyone of them thus making them "HUNTING RIFLES". Now if I were to take my 6.5 creedmoor bolt gun with a 10 round mag and start shooting people would it be an "ASSAULT RIFLE"?
