I don't remember ever even trying one, but if I did drink the stuff I would boycott it over the most absurd series of commercials I've ever seen. Who thought the "sweet one" was a good idea for selling soft drinks? I can't even bear to watch the basketball game live; have to record it so that I can fast forward through the commercials, and it seems like this guy is on twice at every break.

If you drink this stuff, please quit now. Tell your family and friends to do the same. Post it on Facebook or wherever else you can.

Diet sodas are terrible for you anyway, IMHO. I don't touch 'em anymore

I don't care at all for the commercials but I was drinking it before they started that campaign and it is the best diet sodas on the market to me. For someone that has to drink diet drinks I'll have to choose taste over the stupidity of the commercials. Honestly though, I don't know what market that would appeal to that would be drinking diet drinks.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Has to?? Diabetic? I am, and I drink water, sparkling water, unsweet tea, all with lemon, coffee, occasional glass of wine, beer, hot tea, never a single "diet" anything. I don't miss the diet swill, at all.

Maybe guys with purple-red hair that wear rhinestoned flashy jackets and leather pants? About all I can figure.

You're re-hashing a tread I started about 3 weeks ago. I'm with you, it's a very annoying commercial.

Sorry, I missed it before. I had to do something to let the game recording get ahead of me. Maybe it is far enough ahead that I won't have to hear him again tonight.

Jawbone, you disappoint me. Give it up for the good of society. It's an easy sacrifice for me since I don't drink it anyway. smile

The stupidest commercial on TV, The only thing that makes any sense is they’re targeting fat gay people. I dont drink it and never would start just because of that commercial. If that commercial comes on, I pause the TV, then fast forward through it.

Caught up with the game and was live for the last minute; can't time it better than that.

There must be something to the commercial that I don't know. Is the guy in some reality show or something? What is the deal with making him small? There's gotta be something to it that I don't know because I don't even try to keep up with popular stuff. I mean, nobody could have just dreamed up a character like this, did they?

I always thought they were poking fun at Prince because he was reportedly a very small guy. Now that he's dead though, I don't think that is what they had in mind. I believe I read that the actor is one of the early contestants form American Idol.

Wait, you watch basketball, the absolute stupidest most pointless sport in the world, but you wanna boycott DP because you don't like their commercials? ...I don't get it. smile

Quit hatin’ on basketball because you like Diet DP. grin Besides, I think it is probably firmly established by now that you are not traditional sports enthusiast.

Hemingway once said that there are only 3 true sports. Auto Racing, Mountain Climbing and Bull fighting. The rest are just games.

I guess if he was still alive today we'd have to get his take on commercial watching....

I don't drink sodas at all, so I guess you can say I'm boycotting all of them.
And I can't bear to watch a basketball game.
