Saw in the Plant ID thread a picture of white flowered leafcup. This stuff is all over my property. Does this have any value for deer or turkey? Is it good cover for turkey poults? or should I try and get rid of it for some reason to let other native brouse grow better?

What area is your property in? This was the first season that we've had this plant and it has absolutely covered up the property.

No, i read some articles and did not find it as a food source. My plan for now it to leave as turkey cover and stop runoff. But will kill out of food plots and hinge cuts

A guy on one of the properties I hunt said 100 percent that he seen deer eating this stuff. Said the stomach was full of it, too. Other then that, I don't know if QDMA.com has it listed on their website or not.

Guys in the club said they have seen deer eat all on it. If there's any benefit to having it, Our property should be set. Batey, when I had the place at Skyline, on lean years, that stuff was a magnet. I can remember a big old buck one of my buddies killed in late January. He said he was watching about 20 deer in a big patch of that stuff underneath a bluff. The big deer came to check on the does. CD. I haven't seen it on our property at Skyline.....yet..... I figure it's just a matter of time. We've got 1600 acres in Aspel that is flat covered up in it. Every damn square inch of it. It just showed up this last season, too.
