Is it just me or are half the calls they make so questionable that they could simply not call them.?
Watching Alabama and Auburn yesterday there are so many fouls called and the shooter does not hardly get touched on a bunch of em. It could really speed the games up if they let em play a bit.

kind of off the subject but the Kansas/ west Virginia last night was pathetic. Kansas shot 32 free throws to west Virginias 2 !

The refs at Kansas let the Jayhawks play yesterday. It's a shame they didn't do the same for West Virginia. Kansas shot 35 free throws, to UWV's 2. That's right....2.

It was criminal what the refs did at Allen Fieldhouse yesterday.

I'm not a basketball fan, but i tuned into a game last month i believe it was, and the refs were calling fouls on players for farting LMAO. I mean they had to be, cause they sure wasn't fouling, anyways i turned that mess....

Sort of like football holding calls, some teams rarely get a penalty............

With the money in pro sports i'm kinda shocked we don't see Nba or Nfl hiring an MMA dude or dudette to help insure victory.

Basketball fouls is what keeps me from getting really interested in it. It's just so subjective and stupid and everyone freely admits you get more calls at home. Not to mention the fact that you can "draw a foul" by going up for a shot and then running into the other guy.

I've said it all year in the games I've watched, that the refs can't decide whether they want to let the maul each other or call a foul for being in someones' personal space. It's been wildly inconsistent.

And there was about 4 times in the Auburn game yesterday where a SC player got fouled on the floor then drove three steps and laid it in and they counted it. Blew my mind. Not trying to make an excuse because Auburn shot 30% from the floor.

It doesn't take much contact at all from the defensive player to alter the trajectory of a shot. Just a little snakebite (hitting the elbow) of the shooter will cause a shot to sail way off. The offensive player is usually given much more liberty than a defensive.

I've never played organized basketball in my life but was asked by some of the guys I officiated football with to start calling basketball with them. I told them I didn't think so since I don't know what is a foul and what isn't. I began paying more attention after that I came to the conclusion that none of the referees in basketball really know what is and isn't a foul. Not for me.
