I understand your frustration, but I have known kids from great families that have gone awry. Believe me, they have done everything they could to turn them around and then some. There's no sense in just throwing them away.

Someone very close to me has 18 months clean....so thankful the Lord didn't take her.

When someone is under the throws of addiction they will do or say anything to get the drugs they need. People who are otherwise salt of the earth folks become evil manipulators under the influence or when their bodies are screaming at them for more. I don't expect someone who's never been touched by addiction to understand.

I'm very sorry to hear that and I hope she turns her life around. I know a lot of good, Christian people who's kids have ended up on that path. It doesn't seem to discriminate.

I was simply speaking out of frustration against those who have had every opportunity under the sun given to them, cleaned up, only to end up right back in the same place and lose it all. It pisses me off to no end. I truly feel sorry for those that have to deal with it everyday,

I hope this is encouraging to you, a real good friend's youngest son was too, and he was destructive not only to himself but to everyone and everything around him. In and out of jail, in and out of trouble. He was so bad that another friend of mine pulled a gun on him to get him to stop beating on his own momma. Well through much prayer by many folks this young man made a change and he shared with me Saturday that he has been clean for 2 years. Many folks, like the op, had given up on him but fortunately his family and friends and more importantly God didn't. Hang in there and I will join you in praying for her.

I think he was referring to how drugs dont discriminate between good guys or not, rich or poor, godly or not.. Drugs, heroin in particular, destroys the person using it and has an effect on all the people around the user.

The house at the end of our street has crack heads .The owner of the house moved in with her boyfriend and left the house to her crack head son and his crack head wife. She deals in broad daylight with her kids running around. Have talked to the police even showed them video
evidence and still no action from them.If something were to happen to my wife or our house. The "Punisher" wont hold a candle to what will happen.

There's a a guy here in Chelsea that was a bad dope head at one time and even found himself homeless, living in an abandoned car in the woods. He took, smoked, sold, shot up, anything he could. The Lord got a hold of him and pulled him through it. Now he is clean and a very successful preacher and pillar of our community. Prayers for all of those affected by the grip of addiction.

Four different agency's spent several hours just down the road yesterday. Took several to the iron bar hilton on quite a few charges. I saw ARs out. Kinda serious I'd say.

Not crack but a guy I grew up with just recently passed away from an OD from opioids. It's impacting all kinds and backgrounds.

PRB, i was a drug head once and i even despised myself. If you cant love yourself, whats the chances anybody else can love you, if you cant stand to be around yourself, whats the chances anybody else can stand to be around you? If not for the grace of God, id be dead or in prison, and thats exactly what i would have deserved. Drugs are ruining our friends, families and neighborhoods. If we dont do something quick, our kids dont have a chance in heck .
