I have an 1187 premier in 12 gauge (wood stock/engraved metal) and its an awesome gun!! But mine was less than $600 brand new....just saying. Then you were the luckiest man on earth. A standard plastic 11-87 is over 600.00, A premier at dealer cost is over 600.00. The gun I have has the enhanced engraving, a standard premier does not. If you don't like the price, move along and find something productive to do. just sayin
