F___k up on a nice 130 plus buck this morning. I had to grunt to turn him around. Of course when you do they come a looking. I got drawn back and was starting to look through my peep. And he ran off. Third pope deer seen in 3 days.

Other than overcups (which are in the family), I’ve never seen a deer touch a white oak outside of mid December I don’t think. Or maybe you just meant that you’re in an open area with thick stuff all around.
This is Aldeer! The place people come to vent their frustrations and completely change their stance a few minutes later...

There’s still a few on the ground the deer are eating. Also a one big red oak tree with a few under it. The acorns are few and far between but this one tree I’m on always drops til the end of the season
