You can do that with a single pin... I leave mine set to 30yds. I'm good from zero to 40yds or so with no adjustment. If an animals farther than that, ill range and shooting I want. You just gotta know your bow. Nothing wrong either way, just peoples preferences.

It really doesn't take that much to get used to and your grouping WILL improve at longer distances with some practice. I can make shots now that were very iffy with a multiple pin sit last year. It is not that difficult to range, adjust only if needed, and shoot.
