I don't have one. I need one.

I don't want to cheap out, but I don't want to spend money on features I don't need. Give me suggestions on ones to consider.

Thanks!

Magneto speed. Very simple to set up. Way less aggravating than a traditional fork chrono.

Labradar. I don't have one. I have seen one. But I want somebody on here to buy one so we can go play with it. laugh

I use a Caldwell and like it. Everything gets saved to their app. Very easy and handy.

Have a Caldwell. Low end, used it few times. Did everything I needed. I actually need to use it more, but ranges are an issue.

ProChrono here. A little difficult compared with the magnetospeed, but a fraction of the cost.

I've had irregular readings when not in direct sunlight or at dusk, & I've almost shot the thing a few times. I think both problems are inherent to all these types of chronographs that you shoot through some distance in front of the muzzle.

I have an oehler 35p. And while it’s nice it’s kind of a pain to drag out and set up. If I could choose again I’d get the magneto speed chrono that you attach to your barrel. It’s quick and easy. The oehler is nice if you are testing pistols and bows etc. But for just rifles the magneto speed I think would be better. Plus I don’t think you can shoot the magneto speed. And I’ve shot the oehler 3 times. Still works but has nicks missing in the plastic pieces.

How does the Magneto-Speed not affect barrel harmonics?

It does affect accuracy and POI. Don't use it when doing your sight in work. I use too many rifles at the range and swapping it around would be a PITA for me. I really want a LabRadar, but at over $500 I'll be okay with my ProChrono until I have 3the extra cash.
