Guys if you get the flu bad you really need to get to a Dr..

This is one of the worse Ive ever seen.

My friend and guy I hunt with on a lease, who also is a member here just lost his son to this dang flu.

My heart goes out to him,...I know it must be heartbreaking.

Dont take any chances. Get to a doctor asap with this one.

Flu affects every person differently doesn’t matter what strain. It’s hard to anticipate or predict how a person will respond. Now the very old and very young are obvious at higher risk. Say the same thing years ago with H1N1. If you got the flu and have had a couple days and have ZERO complications with breathing or other issues. There’s not much a doctor can do. Send you home with Tamiflu but if you’ve had it more than 48-72 hrs it’s not as effective and a waste of money in my opinion. It’s a bad viral infection and it has to run its course for the uncomplicated.

Wow, that is crazy. I can't believe people are dying from this. I had the flu as a kid and hope to never have it again.

It's gotten so bad around here the Hospital/ER is telling people, if you have flu symptoms, DO NOT COME HERE, call your regular doctor. The problem is, a lot of the doctors around here have gotten increasingly bad about telling patients who cannot wait for a pre-scheduled appointment to.....wait for it.....go to the ER for [insert non-life-threatening condition here].

Heard this morning. This year's flu is 700x worse than last year. Not how they are measuring that, just crazy. One of the elite private schools, Randolph closed for two days cause of the flu.

His son was 48.

I got a few texts from guys on here and wanted to clear that up, as he just had his first child last year and some of the guys thought it was him.

We dropped our kids off at day care this morning. The director told us that if a kid showed signs of flu that they would be sent home along wih their sibling if they had one. Also said that 4 children in Alabama have died from the flu recently. I havent researched that to see for myself but thats what she said.

I've had it twice, once 3 weeks ago. Over 3 days with a 102 or greater temp. I thought I was a gonner. Don't play with this stuff. So sorry for you friend, prayers lifted for the family.

My Wife, Son and I have had it twice (2 strains) of flu in the past 30 days. Started right before Christmas and I'm still feeling the lingering effects. On top of that My wife and I have had Bronchitis and now I've got Pink eye. I've never seen anything like it.
Deer season pretty much didn't happen.

Do your best to wash your hands regularly and don’t touch your eyes, nose, mouth, etc. It could keep you from getting it.

One of the benefits of working in a hospital. Hand sanitizer stations are every 20 feet. I keep a box of alcohol pads at my desk. Wipe down microwave, coffee pot handle, anything else touched by others.

Feel like I'm getting something been coughing for a couple days, and got home this morning and couldn't get warm!! Got an appointment at 12 today, oh yeah and I have aggravated a nerve in my lower back to make matters worse, oh and also suppose to be off for the next 10 days to hunt starting tomorrow morning!!

It's brutal and my wife had it 10x worse than I did. First day feeling somewhat alive since last Thursday.

You can catch it from folks through the air if you are within about 6 feet of a sick person. My head's been on a swivel lately in public, if they are audibly coughing or sniffling I avoid the entire area of the store they are in. I understand much of that is just common cold stuff, but just can't risk it. Don't go out if your sick folks

I had it last week. First time I have been to the Dr. since 1994 when I had pink eye. Let me tell ya, I was miserable with the flu. I had stain B. Praying I dont get A.
