I know this has been discussed before a while back but I was hoping some of the providers may have gotten better with their service.
Anyone have any suggestions on who to use or who not to use?

AT&T is offering "rural" areas internet access via wireless (cell phone) signal. It's to give rural areas access to the internet. I think it's an agreement they have with the government. You can see if it's offered in your area. It's $40 a month for internet but if you also get directv with it, it's $60 a month. They will put an antenna at your house for better signal also.

Thanks for the info guys. I was leaning toward the ATT cellular Wi-Fi. After researching the two unlimited plans, it looks like the cheaper of the two limits the data speed to about 3Mbps.
I thought maybe some of these satellite internet companies like Hughesnet may have gotten better.

We have HughesNet at one of our well sites. It's much better than it used to be. They advertise speeds to be 25mb/s, but I regularly clock in the mid 40's when I'm out there.

Have you tried Google?
