You can shoot ones tail off. I Did it on a running shot and had great blood for 300 yards. Killed him 2 weeks later with no tail and a disgusting infection thing that I hit with my knife when cleaning him. It shot all over my shirt and I threw up lol
I don't always hunt the line, but when I do, I make sure I'm close to my neighbor's 8 acre bean field.

That deer looked hit twice to me. And didn't look good running off IMO. I think you'll recover that deer.

Did u shoot a spike last week that blew both his back legs off at the knee? Seen one at the processor that had a Joey lambert tag with it ?? Nope. I only make bad shots on big deer.
