One of those dang things stuck into the ligament on the back of my hand for my middle finger and broke off. Couldn't get it out and it was starting to hurt, hand is all swole up, but I finally got it out. One of the little things...............

Either way it's best to stay far away from them when possible. Years ago I was going up a hill when I slipped. Naturally I reached out and grabbed the first thing I could. Yep it was one of those prickly poles. Hurt like crazy for days. Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts,hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!
