How much time do you have to devote to training a dog. Do you live in a neighborhood or wooded area?

I live on 20 acres in the middle of nowhere. I routinely hunt and target shoot on my land. Mostly pasture but some woods.

I have some time for training but I haven’t trained one before so I’d be learning as I go. I’d ask a bunch of questions and watch lots of YouTube videos.

My dad has a little over 20 acres and it was ok for a while but it isn't enough. I'm training a mt cur and he needs some acres. It'll get to a point where the dog will blow through that 20 acres and be on neighboring property. About 7-8 months old and I had to start going where he could stretch his legs

I had a pup from Tim Cosby made a good dog, it had an accidental cross with a Kemmer cur had some beautiful pups that made good dogs. Sold my older dog and kept a pup from the cross and it got out and ran over about the time it was doing good was really sick. Been thinking about getting another one to mess with for my daughters. Several liters on Squirrel dog central also a couple of finished dogs in Alex city for sale as well might be worth looking at.

Can’t go wrong with a pup from Tim if you have time, patience, and drive to train one it takes a lot of miles to make a good one

I should add, I’m only 10 minutes from Autauga WMA so we can get our work in there too.

Spoke with Tim earlier in the week but he won’t have anything available for three-four more weeks.

That's good timing.. Got my dog as a pup last january and worked him all year. By the time season rolled in this year, he was ready to take to the woods for training/hunting

My buddy has two female feists that have killed all of his wife's chickens so they have to go. He has hunted them a little and I know they'll tree. Only thing that could be a problem is they stay outside all the time. Which is great for getting them freeing but they may act like heathens. I'm going to pick them up one day this week or this weekend. I'm going to hunt them a little and see how they do
