Youth should have a conservation number. And if they have success should at least write it on their conservation license. It is free and can be found at outdoor alabama.

Working on getting my 13 y/o his first deer. Just in case we get lucky, am I required to check his deer even though he is not required to buy a license? How would that work? Do i have to put it on my license? If you need help getting a Conservation ID # let me know. I can walk you through the process.

You have to have on yourself an havest on you while you hunt. So I would guess a minor would also. You might want to check. Negative. As long as you have the app you don't need the paper

I was just responding to the harvest paper part.

From what I understand, a Game Warden told one of our club members that his kids had to have a ID # if they were hunting. He said he could write the club member a ticket but he didn't...just a verbal warning. this^^^ horsechitt. I hate anyone using the power of the badge to bully /or lie. next time tell the idiot to just write the ticket, plainly, so yer lawyer can read his name....
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

He only needs harvest report and the # only after he kills his first deer, right? Then his # stays with him? I haven't had to do this and may never but have someone coming hunting that I need to make sure I'm telling him right. I agree, I'll tell them to write a ticket quick if I know they are wrong or trying to bluff.

My son gets checked just like i do, has for the last four years and he is 15 now. It's really nice when they are asking an 11 year old questions that he has no clue about. Must have ID# and if he doesn't have a phone you will need a paper harvest record with his name written at the top. the name is important, I got a verbal warning for having both of ours in my wallet without names on them.

you don't have to have, or carry, a ID# with you hunting. You must have it to report a kill. You can do it when you get home. Dumbassery is prevelant everywhere(not you headshot).

1). Is my lifetime license not a "recreational license"? They sent me a new license so why didn't they add it?
2). Isn't my new license # a " unique #"? Why couldn't that be used? As far as I know, it can. I don't have a conversation id number, but I do have a lifetime license and the GC system has always accepted the number on it.
