Either spring loaded or gravity will get um by the multiples. However I caught 7 at one time with a guillotine door like Williams.
So a pregnant sow got trapped and gave birth to 6 piglets?
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

There is a picture around here someplace of this trailer full in the trap before I killed um. There were two more, one alive, that are not on there yet.

Thats a neet little rig right there. But I believe I would want the sides just a little higher. That is if my idea of how it works is right and that is the bottom, as it is shown, is acutally the top and is open. I usually put a .22 between and just above the eyes or right behind the ear and towards the eye on the other side. But when I do take one out alive, I drop a noose around his neck and pull the rope through the wire near the door. Pull his head up to the wire and reach in and get him by a back leg, pull him out, throw him on his side and tie him up. If its a big un, I get some help and do basically the same thing.

I can see getting a ticket for deer hunting near a hog trap filled with corn. Catch more deer than hogs usually anyway. But you should be able to bait hogs outside of deer and turkey season. Going to work on getting that changed. You can do that now. However, the way I understand it is you gotta have a permit and the local GW will give just about anyone located in your area one without any checking. Also, I don't think you have to have a permitt ot bait them outside of hunting season on your own land. Is that right or wrong?

Hope you can work that out for us in North alabama also. We found the first hog this week on our propery dead in some cut over. I have seen the hogs before on property here in Colbert county that I own, but not on the club I am in. There are places we are seeing now that show evidence of hog rooting. I don't want them here at all. Wish we could get rid of them and coyotes also. Just not going to happen any time soon.
I can't stand a thief.

I don't see anything in the regs that say you can shoot them over bait at any time. They are a game animal until killed. You can get a permit. Only the landowner can apply for this. Jack, William is right. As per the Law, as written now, feral hogs are a GAME ANIMAL and cannot be hunted with the aid of bait at any time WITHOUT a specific permit. You cannot even legally turn dogs out at a protein feeder in July to trail up and bay hogs to catch......much less shoot one over a corn pile!

I just don't understand all the restrictions and hoops ya have to jump thru to hunt hogs over bait or at night. Hog numbers are still increasing.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I got four more Saturday morning. According to the cameras they got in the trap at about 4AM. I dressed one for one of my sons, gave one to a couple folks from mobile who hunt in an adjoining hunting club and two to the local dog hunting club.
