Thinking about using a different food source for the Turkeys other than chuffas this coming year. (Brown Top Millet) Wondering if anyone else out there has used this and how well did it work out?

I would suggest milo over millet if I was looking for an alternative.

Turkeys will definitely eat browntop, but of course it provides food for only a few weeks in late summer. I often grow it for the doves, but the turkeys are welcome as well. I've seen a flock of young turkeys use a patch heavily in September.
Chufas and clover provide food over a much longer time.

If you have the soil and way to plant them, peanuts are the best thing you can ever plant for turkeys. Deer love them, as well.

I was thinking of tilling millet in during the fall coming back planting clover for winter food source. We have a few hogs to move in on us. Scared they will eat up the chuffas if I planted any before the Turkey has a chance to.
