I have the chance to get out and duck hunt in scottsboro or go out to bankhead and deer hunt. I have seen no deer all year, and only been duck hunting once for woodies with no luck. Based on the cold front and personal sightings, what do yall think is my best options for a good time?

It depends..Where about's in Scottsboro (public or private)?
I would probably opt for deer hunting though.
Edit: I would mainly opt for the deer Hunt because I know 0% about deer hunting Bankhead and know just about all there is to know about duck Hunting Scottsboro .lol
Over the last couple of years, I've all but completely hung up duck hunting.

Break up the monotony. Go see if you like duck hunting. You never know. Dont set your expectations too high. If you get to shoot 2 or 3 ducks, count it as a good day. Waterfowl nos are kind of down this fall but the front could help.

I will never pass up a duck hunt to chase a pine goat. Ever I've gone on deer hunting trips that have ended in duck hunting trips many times. I've also duck hunted in some of the most beautiful white tail woods you've ever seen in arkie, Missouri, and Mississippi, while seeing 150"+ bucks in the fields all night, and never had the urge to leave the duck blind for the deer woods. I'm also able to deer hunt any time I want, but I only get 1-2 duck trips a year so it's more of a novelty for me.

For me if I'm shooting woodies and it's cold I'll go duck hunt until about 730 then hit the deer woods from about 8-11. X2
