Let's pretend he does take the Arkansas job. ( I don't think he will and I think it would be a total dumb ass move to do so.) I think AU will be every bit as good and probably better next year then this year- I think he knows that and is the main reason that he would stay.
For the sake of conversation,if he left, Who would you Auburn guys want AU to go after?

Jimbo! Nah, this is moot, Gus, through Jimmy Sexton or whoever his agent is, has made his demands to AU's president. I'm sure they will come to an agreement. Arky is being played like Gundy did TN.

Actually, that is probably my numero Uno choice. I think he could do well at Auburn. Like I said, I don't think Gus is going anywhere. He's got as much leverage right now as he'll ever have. Now is the time he can get demands met for whatever he wants.

Actually, that is probably my numero Uno choice. Maybe it's just me but it seems that Franklin has a nice gig going on up there and is extremely competitive. I would think Penn St could match any offer au would throw at him. Either way, if Gus does leave AU ought to get a good name based on wherever they finish out the season. If Gus wins another game of two, he may be a lifer at AU if he wants to be.

Another name is Clay Helton at USC. He played his first couple of years at Auburn I think as a QB, but never saw the field, that was during Stan White's time. Auburn fans: amazed anyone would suggest that a coach would leave Auburn to move to Arkansas Also Auburn fans: we should get the USC coach
