I have a jacket I got in about 97' that I still hunt sparingly in . I'm kind of sentimental about. killed all kinds of stuff wearing it. I have a few old guns handed down to me that relatives hunted with as far back as ww2 era.I have a 20 ga single shot that my dad ,his brothers, a few cousin's and I killed our first deer with by I ain't got a clue how old it is. I don't think my girls will be able to handle a buckshot out of that chopped down lil' ole shotgun.

While I was home for Thanksgiving, I grabbed one of dad's old Duxbak chamois shirts in woodland camo that I would conservatively guess being 40 years old. Many a great memory with my dad while he was in that shirt. I would guess that shirt hasn't been worn in 15-20 years. I plan to kill a deer while wearing it and then put it up, probably never to be worn again.

I have my 1st shotgun, Winchester single barrel 12 gauge bought at TG&Y back in 69. I have a pair of old fleece duxbak pants in brown trebark camo that I still wear. They're indestructible.

I came, I saw, so I killed them all......Vern

I have a camo down coat I bought from Cabelas in 1979 I still wear. It was about 50 bucks back then, which was fairly expensive. It is one of the warmest coats I own. Killed a ton of deer wearing it. Still got a lot of life in it.

I have an orange hat with Alabama dog hunters association I have had for probably 15 years. Has most the tabs ripped of the back but use it every year. This is not counting shotguns or rifles.

Vietnam era M-65 field coat Od green and leather flight gloves with wool liners
Given to me by my dad. Still use the glove liners a lot and the coat if I hunt in the briars.

I have my uncles carhart camo coveralls that he wore deer hunting that I wear when it gets real cold. He died in 99 and is the one person that got me into hunting. Im not sure exactly how long he had them before he passed away. My dad was never into hunting so I learned from my uncle.

I have a set of rattling antlers that i made from two different bucks killed in 1980. i have rattled in many deer with this set.

Funny thing i thought I had lost them last season and someone at my club said they thought they had found two sheds side by side. picked them up and they were attached with leather shoestring. squirrels had chewed on them a bit but still sound good. thankful to have them back

2 of the rifles I hunt with a lot are over 20 years old. The older is a Remington model 600 Mohawk in .308. Believe it's a 1973 gun. Shoots very well.

By far my oldest is my pair of Polar Fleece gloves in original Treebark camo. I've been wearing them every season since 1988 and they don't even have any holes in them.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

The only hunting rifle I own is a Husqvarna .270. I'm not sure how old it is, but I think it is 1950's or 60's. I guess that would be the oldest piece of hunting gear I have.

If I'm going on a sure enough doe killing I will take one of my dads case knife he carried in the late 70s-99 (he quit hunting regularly).

I've got one of my grandfathers knives that stays in my truck at all times.

I still use a lynch world champion box call my dad gave me around 1980 when we started turkey hunting together. Also still wear the first turkey vest he gave me about the same time.
Never thought about replacing either one.

Not counting a gun, I have a jacket that is at least 20 years old. Don't use it that often any more but it's still in good shape and fits so I keep it.

1991 Browning twist-lok quiver on the bow. The mount bracket doubles as a bow hanger on my treestands. But I am pulling out my 1974 (+/- 1 yr) .222 Savage soon.

I had a pair of mossy oak gloves that were about a 1990 model. They were my lucky turkey hunting gloves and I lost them 3 years ago. I went back and looked everywhere for them to no avail. I still wish I had those things.

Other than that I occasionally shoot an 1969 A5 that was my dad's.

knife I bought when I was 16 years old. I am now 55. Still my go to knife. So 40 yr old piece of gear. and had to run home and ask Mom for $10 to buy it! lol!

And as I was getting ready to hit post, dawned on me. A 22 Remington rifle Dad bought me when I was 8. Still have it and a go to squirrel/rabbit rifle. 48 yrs old! dang. wife is right, I AM getting old!

PS - did you mean oldest item I got originally new and still use? If so, see above. If, otoh, you mean oldest piece period, I have a rifle and a shotgun that are 90 odd years old each. Win Mdl 12 16 ga (1926) and Rem Mdl 14 (1928)! And a bunch of '50s era guns

A pair of original Realtree camo "Polar Tuff" pants I got 30 years ago. They were too big then but I wore them. They still fit, amazingly. I only wear them when it's REALLY cold.

My wife replaced the zipper about 15 years ago. I still have the jacket too, but it's way too small.

I still use a welded treestand I bought in 1987 for bowhunting.
About 97' I bought another stand that I still use for rifle hunting. Always kept in the shop when I'm not sitting in it.

Model 7600 pump.308 bought in the 90's

I bought an ATV to get to my hunting area, now half the fun of hunting is the ride in and out.

Old handmade wood grunt call an old man named Johnny Broadway made in montgomery. not sure how old, its at least 15 or 20 years I know it's been around a while but it's the best sounding grunt call I've ever heard

Don't laugh too much, but I have a "dickey". For those that don't know what that is, it is a sweater type material neck gaiter, but it has a flap on the front and back that tucks inside your shirt. I'm 54 and have had it since I was a kid. Really keeps the wind out.

The oldest thing I hunt with is a 1952 Browning Superposed O/U for bird hunting. The oldest deer hunting is some browning hydrofleece pants I bought in 1999.

I always cringe nowadays when people try to save too much money on hunting clothes. I know theyre expensive but I always say buy quality and it will last. I bought a new set of Dream Season Pro in MO treestand after those ripped. It was pricey but will last.

I think the first ever Deer Expo in Birmingham was about 34 years ago in 1983? I purchased that first Friday night one of the original, but heavy,Tree Lounge stands. I still use it to this day...just not as high as before. I am 72 now. That same night I purchased from Bob Dixon, Alabama's first rep for Mossy Oak, at their booth, one of the first, original Mossy Oak Bottom Land cotton jump suits, which I still have. the fit is a might tight now!

As some of you may remember and know,Bob Dixon, was a great hunter and a great American, and died way too young years ago, from cancer.

A pair of Realtree brand cargo sweatpants I've been wearing for 15+ years. They are faded with several holes worn in them, but I have great memories of some great hunts while wearing them!

I have my dad's JCHiggins 12 guage shotgun that was bought the year he was born. It was given to him when he started hunting and he gave it to me the year I killed my first deer with it on a drive in Greene County.

I've got stuff I can wear still from the 1960's and maybe further back than that. Like Pendleton Wool Suits with that lumberjack green/black and just plain OD green, etc.

I can wear my Dad's and Grandfather's clothes. I still have some of that stuff, I still use it and there isn't a thing made today as high tech as some of this stuff is that will keep you warmer when you get into snow or something serious.

Have a brass case compass from WW2 my dad gave to me, even though I have a compass on my phone it has a good feel to it. Also, a Winchester model 62 pump 22 my dad bought three days after I was born in '47; uncountable the number of squirrels that have fallen to it.

I tried using a wing bone call a few years after I started Turkey hunting but I never could consistently make the same time calls. pretty cool having a 100 yo Turkey call.

I have a toboggan that I still wear that's about 35 years old. I have a custom built .25-06 that I carry occasionally that I have no idea how old it is. It was my dad's, built by his brother. Has to be at least 40-45 years old. Dad had it as long as I can remember.

The oldest I have is a double barrel .410 sxs that was made April 1915 that I hunt rabbit and squirrel with a lot. But the oldest I have that I've had the longest is a Schrade 142 my dad bought for me the year I was born. It was when they were made with good steel. I usually clean at least on deer a year with it. It's 29 years old

The oldest piece is a 12 guage 870 Wingmaster that my dad bought used and I bought it from him in about 1973 for $60. I've shot thousands of shells through it, back when I dove hunted a lot. That's pretty much the only shotgun I have used except turkey hunting since then. I've killed deer, rabbit, squirrel, dove, quail and pheasant with it. I don't do that type of hunting much any more. So I've had it 44 years.

Regarding deer hunting, I have a Western Cutlery knife that a friend gave me in about 1980 that I have carried on almost every deer hunt since then. I've gutted and skinned several deer with it. It is a great knife that sharpens good and has good metal in it. That's about 37 years worth of use. Older than most folks on here these days.

Picked up a sawtooth oak acorn about 10 years ago when i first started hunting. I only bring it with me when i feel like i will have good luck. Usually first week of bow season and a few days in the rut. Killed three mounters with it in my pocket and my first few does with my bow.

Been hunting with the same Browning rifle since 1996 and the same Browning hydrofleece since 2005. Have my orignal ol man stand from 1992 although I haven't used it in a few years.

I turkey hunt with my first shotgun (Winchester 1300 NWTF 20) I was given on Christmas of 1989.

Still wear the same orange vest I got for my first deer hunt back in '99. My wife had to re-sew new elastic on the sides because the original lost elasticity...definitely not that I've gotten fatter or anything... cool

Also have an original Treelounge tree stand that I killed my first deer out of that same year...'99

My dad's old BAR. He bought it in '72 and gave it to me on Father's Day a few years ago. He passed along the owners manual and price tag that was on it from Western Auto.

My Granddad's old Schrade knife. He bought it not long before he went to Korea and gave it to me in 1979. It's in my backpack for every hunt. Blades are wore down so short it's getting hard to open these days when you close it the nail grooves are almost in the handle
